As of May 14, 2026, The following functionality is included functionality under the applicable HIPAA Business Associate Addendum:

• Gemini app (excluding Gemini in Chrome),

• Gemini Mac App,

• Gemini in Workspace,

• Keep,

• Sites,

• Hangouts (chat messaging feature only),

• Google Chat, Google Meet, Google Voice (managed users only),

• Google Cloud Search,

• Google Groups,

• Google Tasks,

• and Vault (if applicable).

As a covered entity or business associate, you must comply with the Security Rule. The Security Standards for the Protection of Electronic Protected Health Information (the Security Rule) establish a national set of security standards for protecting certain health information that is held or transferred in electronic form.
